Get Good.ly on your toolbar!

Using Good.ly is as easy as tripping on a cobblestone in London.

But we’ve just made is easier. Oh yes, even easier. Like chewing margarine.

Introducing: The Good.ly Bookmarklets!

Tucked away in the footer of the Good.ly homepage, the link to the bookmarklets lurks, unassuming, but oh so awesome.

Click on the link, and we’ll take you on a magical (very quick) journey to the Bookmarklets page, just down the street.

If you’re using Mozilla Firefox, you’ll be able to drag the ‘Shorten with Good.ly’ link straight onto your bookmarks toolbar. Just choose the blue link corresponding to the charity you’d like to support!

This course of action will implant a Good.ly button on your toolbar so you can instantly create a Good.ly link!

Go to the page you want, click the button and you’ll be transported to http://good.ly with your shiny new URL waiting; ready to rock and roll.

From there, just copy and paste it everywhere!

And of course, for those of you running on Internet Explorer, things will be a little different, but still majorly rad.

For you guys,  just right click on the blue link under the charity of your choice, and select ‘add to favourites’.

From there, you can harness the power of Good.ly with one click in your favourites centre.

Now there’s no excuse not to use Good.ly for anything and everything – especially product links (the best kind of links) because they can help earn money for charity.

Make the most of Good.ly and help us spread the word. We can’t do it without you!

Good.ly love

Well haven’t you all been busy?

Good.ly is growing by the second and it’s all thanks to the fans. It’s always all about the fans.

We wouldn’t be here without you. I’d also like to thank my mum and my dad. I mean, dawg, you really made it your own.

Anyway, we’ve had people all over the world using Good.ly to tell their friends about cool stuff in 140 characters or less. I’d love to tell you about some of them, but I don’t know what they say.

Miss Good.ly has led a sheltered life of language. But she’s working on it.

One thing I do know – is Good.ly. I know how to use it, so I use it all the time.

Whenever I find a nice pair of shoes, a cool CD, a good book, cheap flights, a lovely hotel, hot beauty products, a shiny cat collar for Claude – pretty much anything – I throw a Good.ly link up on my Twitter and Facebook.

Why not? Using Good.ly to shorten my links means that any resulting sales provide a big slice of commission for one of the Good.ly charities.

And what great charities they are! So far, there’s Dogs Trust, Crisis, and the latest, ChildVoice International. If you’d like to be considered as a Good.ly charity, you can fill out the application form at http://good.ly/applynow

And if you’re not a charity – do your bit! Use Good.ly!

Get Good.ly going!

Good.ly is gathering pace around the world – even making it as a trending topic on Twitter overnight!

It’s great to see Good.ly links all over the web, and now we need to get it working hard for its money!

You’ll notice when you paste a URL into Good.ly, and click ‘Make it Good’, Good.ly will tell you if your new shortened URL will make money for charity.

Like this:

“Congratulations, this shortened URL can raise money. Share this link with your friends, and 55% of commissions from any sales generated will go to your chosen charity.”

Nice. Good news for everybody.

So. How do you do it?

Well, have you bought something cool recently? Spotted something for sale that you’re lusting after?

Pop the product’s URL into Good.ly to tell your friends about it, and you could have yourself a donation to charity.

And because I’m a fan of seeing is believing – here’s an excerpt from a short performance piece I’m penning.

[Woman sitting at computer]

“Wow, these new booties from New Look are ultimately rad. I really wish I had a pair. I wonder what my friends think of them…”

[Copies URL from address bar and pastes into Good.ly. Out pops http://good.ly/ntaprra]

“Wow, just like that! I have a new short URL to post to Facebook and Twitter, and, if any of my friends decide to buy a pair, a chunk of the commission from the sale will go to the charity I selected!

“Also, I suspect it is not healthy to talk to myself.”

[Applause]

See? It’s so easy to use Good.ly, so let’s get it started!

Good.ly has a massive database of international online retailers covering almost every sector you could imagine – so just copy, paste and click to find out if your recommendation could make cash for charity!

Good.ly gives the lion’s share to charity

There are thousands of charities around the world that need new, innovative ways to collect funds.

Consequently, the primary purpose of Good.ly is to make money for charity.

Harnessing the people power of Facebook and Twitter is a great way to open up your cause to a whole new slice of society and provide us all with a slightly more passive way to donate.

Everybody goes about their business as per usual; but those who need it most get the benefits.

With Good.ly, a sale resulting from a posted link earns commission, and the lion’s share of that commission goes to the selected charity. (Disclaimer: We do not have a bias towards charities for lions.)

Tell your friends. The future of fundraising has arrived.

Good.ly makes the news!

Good.ly broke ground today – after smashing a champagne bottle on the side of the computer stack (and cleaning up the mess), the little URL shortening service that could set off on the voyage to social media stardom.

With a piece in the London Evening Standard today, Good.ly bared its soul to the masses via creator Alicia Navarro.

Prepare for an infiltration of Good.liness!
